            Yeah, I'm amazingly still on the project... still.  Why is it nine months later since Beta 3.2 and nothing?  There are several reasons for that:
       * work:  nearly full time and currently working nights... yeah.
       * family issues:  (won't go into that)
       * feedback from Beta 3.X
            What do I mean by that last one?  You see, when I released it, not many appreciated the new functions that I've added in the engine work.  Almost everyone put Beta 3.X down because physical gameplay was more limited as I was more so testing how the engine ran.  So I've been into deep work into the engine and, because the appearance won't really show it, I've been quiet on what was happening.

            Anyway, onto news on the build.  The first thing is this:  there is likely to NOT be a Beta build of 4.0.  As to why, I'll say in a moment.  There is however an Alpha build that is still unfinished and buggy.  Alpha 4.0 has the following FEATURES:
        * slope running
        * 360 gravity
        * perfect one-way collision checking (as I believe.  It works AWESOME)  Even works with 360* gravity
        * updated main and character select screens
        * attacks (but nothing to attack.  sorry)
        * customized keyboard setup now practically done
        * snapshot checkpoints
    And now the BUGS:
        * 360 gravity (space level) shows obvious bugs with the build.  Like:
            - crawling/spindash not working correct
            - Sonic can't walk on the planetoid
            - Sonic disappears for a frame for some UNKNOWN reason when he lands
        * level progressing.  So I disabled several features... like dying.  These will end the game.
    And the NEED-TO-BE-DONEs:
        * the resources, coding, and the project files needed to be organized and cleaned up.  There's alot of junk to be thrown out.
            You can play a bit if you want to see what I've been doing.  Again, it's just an Alpha, not a Beta, so it's very incomplete.

            I am scheduled to be present at NCFC with THIS build.  ...  but I will likely pull my booth.  It's getting too complicated now and I don't need any more pressure.  But on the other side of this, this IS my hobby.  I work on this project almost bi-daily.  I love this project and I really want to see it completed.

           And now why no Beta 4.0.  Like I just said, I really want to see it completed... but I want it to be everything I would love to see in it.  If I happen to fail my next idea, then there will likely be a Beta 4.0 once I fix stuff in this one.  Anyway, here's my next plan of action:

           I've been looking at the setup of Mugen characters and I see ways of using datastructures like these to my advantage.  I would say that I would restart my game's engine from scratch but never really done it, but with this idea, it should be easier to use.  And now that I know what experiments work from my pass builds, I can carry them over.  If all goes well, I should be able to release, not only a new engine build for Mario & Sonic, but ALSO the engine ITSELF.  On another note, if anyone is willing to help out , please email me.

           If anyone has questions or comments, which I always read, email betatest@logeot.com

           Hope most of you understand, and wish me luck.
