Version B3.0.0
+ At this time, because B3.0 is
just taking off, B2.2 still might be the better between this build
and the previous. Not all levels and cutscenes are ready in
B3.0 but should be soon! Until then, B3.0 will be not be
downloadable from Yoyogames and I will attempt to promote both
versions.
+ NEW ENGINE UPDATES!
* Updating system - you can now check for updates and download them
right from the game!
* External files - levels, characters, sounds, enemies, cutscenes,
and more to come are now external to the game build. This
allows for files to download and better memory management.
This also allows for customization in the future!
* File loading - the game can now load the external files mentioned
above at the moment required OR EVEN load before being used,
lessening the loading time. So if you are going to be going
into another level section, it will attempt to pre-load it. If
you don't, the data is deleted from memory and new data is loaded!
+ Mario has the wall jump, though it is very simple.
Version B2.2.X
+ a few bugs fixed
+ NEW LEVEL! A watership, similar to SMB3's airships. It
may look very simple but it took quite a bit of programming. A
boss is planned for this level but is not present currently. (B2.2.0)
* I spent about 2 weeks working on several different features, and
some had to be ditched. That is why this update seems so small
for a long absence of an update. (B2.2.0)
Version B2.1.X
+ Few bugs fixed (Ghost House's music now continues

* I rushed this version out because I'm gonna be gone
for awhile. Got it so it is playable but some elements are

+ TWO NEW LEVELS! World 1-7 and World 1-Castle
are now working. The Castle include two neat new features as
listed below. Several story scenes are planned for the Boss
fight in the Castle, but I didn't get to them yet. (B2.1.0)
+ New Feature: Screen Limiter. Like in SMB3 and SMW, the
player is limited to the moving screen and has to stay with it or
die. The player will be nudged ahead horizontally if there is
nothing in front (B2.1.0)
+ New Feature: Moving blocks/crushers. I'm proud of this
one because I never expected to get it working, but now it does
after about a day of bug fixing. You (and enemies for that
matter) can ride them up and down. But if you're left with not
enough room, death! (B2.1.0)
+ Redesigned Feature: elevator blocks. These were redone
and THEN I got the crushers working. Now they move in an
acceleration/deceleration path (a mathematical Sine on one axis
really). ALSO, enemies can now land and walk on them too.
You can get pushed off of them if they go into a wall. On
another note, most elevators are not solid structures, meaning if
you hit a ceiling, you will be pushed through it (B2.1.0)
+ Fixed a glitch with the halting music in the Fortresses/Castle and
Sonic's 1-4. Now it should play right. (B2.1.0)
Version B2.0.X
+ missed some nasty bugs when the memory leak was
fixed. Sorry. Moved a platform in 1-2 (B2.0.3)
+ Seemed to have fixed a big memory leak with the

via email or messenger) Tails can swim but can't do a Spin
Launch or Spin Dash. He can also fly for a limited time with 2
other limitations; 1) He must replenish his energy to be able to
fully fly again, 2) If he gets wet, he must dry off before he can

+ Cutscene dialogue can now be typed out, kinda like in Zelda games.

+ Made the Mecha-Goombas (and related cutscenes) show
them only with one appearance. Not disguised as Goombas

+ Increased gravity and jumping speed for Mario and Sonic, also they

+ Visual effects added, like splashes, flames, and more dust (B1.2.2)
+ Mario's fireballs now bounce around and disappear when they run
out of "energy". They also have some neat visual effects (B1.2.2)
+ When running at top speed, Sonic can now run on water. You
can't slow down or jump-n-land on the water, you will sink. (B1.2.2)
+ Sonic's powerups are now in their early steps (B1.2.2):
- Fire-Sonic: currently he can create a trail of flames when
he runs at top speed. This is a currently a special effect and
not an offensive/defensive move.
- Leaf-Sonic: Sonic can STAND and WALK on water, as well as
run. But you still can't jump-n-land. Remember that Leaf
Mario is so light, he can float. So in turn, Sonic's
water-walking abilities would still be accurate. He'll get
another part to this power in the future.
* I want feedback on Sonic's powerups. His new sprites seem to
work, but I found out that Leaf-Sonic's sprites were not what I
meant to be. I'm colorblind, so I can't tell differences
between some colors, but I liked how he turned out
* Also, I want feedback on the moving platforms. I would like
to remove them due to some limitations in their design
+ Fixed a glitch with Sonic in World 1-2, concerning
his downward spindash into the pit (B1.2.1)
